Bennet or Bennett means "blessed"

Brant and Brantley mean "Sword"

Bryant means "Noble" or "Strong"

Callum and Jonah both mean "dove"

Clark means "man of learning"

Cullen means "chieftain"

Cyrus means "sun, lord, throne"

Dane means "honorable"

Finley means "fair warrior"

Finn or Fynn means "fair"

Isaac means "He will laugh" or "He laughs"

Jaron or Jayron means "He will sing"

Jeremiah means "God will raise up" or "God will set free"

Joel means "the Lord is God"

Josiah means "the Lord saves"



We used the names of people we loved who'd passed as middle names for our kids. We have Julia Nicole (Nicole for a good friend of my hubby's who died in a plane crash at 15), Logan Robert (Robert was hubby's grandfather), Ethan Scott (Scott was my beloved grandma's maiden name), and the baby we lost recently would have been Lydia Violet (Violet was my great aunt's middle name. She hated it, but I always loved it and missed her.)

Just look through the bible, you'll find tons of beautiful names in there. Such as Malachi, Hezikiah, Jonah, Job, David, Abraham, Zachariah, etc, etc.

I don't want to give you a whole list of names that I like, but I can make some suggestions to help you in your quest! Start with family names - even last names. Is there anyone on either side that you would like to honor? You can go way way back if you have your's and your husband's genealogy traced. For example, we almost named our only son after his (six greats) grandfather who was a hero in the Revolutionary War (He rode for Paul Revere after Paul was shot 30 some miles into the ride to warn the British were coming and this man took Paul's place) and shares our last name. A middle name from my maiden name was almost chosen too - Callum (My maiden name is McCallum).



Or - look at Biblical names if you are fond of them - you can always find their meanings in baby name books and name lists online.



Or - look at your ancestry and your husbands. Perhaps you are Irish and he is German - find a German name and an Irish name that can be first and middle names?



We ended up choosing Joel Zachary for our son's name because we wanted Biblical and we loved the name Joel (we each had childhood friends with the name who were just GOOD boys and we always admired them) and the meaning of the 2 names is "Jehovah is the Lord who has remembered us" - we thought it was very fitting as we had 3 daughters before we had him and we were starting to believe we might not have a son!



When you find the right name - you will both know it! Don't listen to family and friends who are bombarding you with names either - you wouldn't believe what my children would have been named had I listened to them - some suggestions were bizarre!
