Yes i think so. Does your daughter know the meaning of her name? because it's sometimes a psycological impulse to live up to what your name is. Example, my name means follower of christ, and i'm catholic. Could be coincidence, could be not. I have come to learn that the name Michelle will result in a problematic kid. No. I know two people named Brittany (a friend and a girl I grew up with). They are complete opposites. A name may affect how others perceive a person, but personality is a combination of environment and genetics.
I do think the name of a child has an effect on their personality, My son is called Craig which is scottish for Crag or Rock and over the years thats exactly what he has been to me a Rock, He is steady and out going. My Daughter on the other hand has a made up name from her dads, he is called Jon Charles and before she was born I called him Jc So we called her Jaycee she is stubborn, strong willed,independent but also loving and affectionate but I have no idea if her name means anything.
No, I don't. That's why I don't think names are a big deal- the child will describe the name, not the name the child. My daughter Lizzie is very down to earth, calm- so her name seems calm.
